Jim took this opportunity to say how nice the 35th Anniversary Party was and to thank Marge, Bernie and Clara for making the event so successful. He also expressed thanks to Tim Stansbury for being the guest speaker. They were given a round of applause.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS: N/A
Optional insurance from Met Life ends tomorrow.
A company called Legacy has requested to come and make a presentation on various topics that might concern some of us. The topics could include income planning, effective tax strategies, estate tax, life insurance, etc. Darlene Dail has a personal contact with the company. Darlene told us about Magan Avery and some of her qualifications. Magan is a financial consultant that focuses on the concerns of the older generation. After a discussion, the suggestion was voted on and the decision was made not to have the Legacy come at this time.
There was an agreement to see if the Baltimore County Department of Aging could come and give a presentation, after lunch, to help with members concerns.
GOOD OF THE CLUB:
Jim welcomed Harry & Judy Chandler from Florida. We were glad to see Harry & Emma Johnson at the meeting.
Don Sommer recommends a good book about GM called ‘Why GM Matters’ by William J. Holstein.
Nelson Weller has added photos from the CD I made a couple of years ago to our website. Go to the “memories” tab and you’ll see the link at the top of the page. We are still looking into alternatives for lunch in order to cut cost.
