Darlene mentioned that she was in contact with the Department of Aging to arrange for them to come out like they did last year to talk to us about the Senior Health Insurance Program they use the acronym SHIP. These representatives are trained to help you decide which insurance and prescription plans best suit your needs. Baltimore County has a Computer Research Program where they feed your prescription information into a computer and it will be able to let you know which plans are good for you. You will then have the information needed to make your choice in December. Keep and eye out for the schedule that will appear in the Senior Digest as to when your neighborhood senior center will be having this program. Also, they will be having the Senior Expo at Timonium Fairgrounds on October 6th & 7th and representatives will be there to help give you information.
PRESENTATION OF BILLS: N/A
There will not be a presentation from Baltimore County next month. Our meeting will be as usual.
GOOD OF THE CLUB:
Jim thanked Nelson Weller for the wonderful job he did adding the photos from the CD Jim made a couple of years ago to our website. Go to the “memories” tab and you’ll see the link at the top of the page.
