We still need bowlers and substitutes. We use Parkville Lanes on Harford Road -- 1:00pm. Cost is $14 a week including a bowling banquet.
HISTORIAN: SKIP SHIFLETT
We will be updating the GM display at the Baltimore Museum of Industry after January lst. We will do this annually. we encourage everyone to view the display.
WAYS AND MEANS: CLARA HUNT
The Christmas Party is scheduled for Sunday, December l3, 2009 - 1:00 till 5:00 at Rosedale Gardens. The band will be Impulse and we’ll have open bar, tickets cost $35.00. We will be having a basket of cheer this year. Anyone wishing to donate, Clare says she will take anything. We still have Entertainment books. There is a problem with BJ’s this year. The membership is now $35.00, so anyone wishing to join has to give Clare an extra $5.00 also the membership is 13 months instead of l5 months. Anyone wishing to cancel their application,Clare will refund their money.

Bernie Vetter announced today that Clara Hunt will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow. She was congratulated. Bernie informed us that Robert Rose, son of Edward Rose died this past week.

We had a conference call about the health care for those under 65. Here are some of the highlights: No HMO’s, all Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cost: Single $l50., Two-Party $206., Family $253., Deductibles: Single $2,500., Two-Party or Family $5,000., Out of Pocket Maximum: Single $3,500., Two –Party or Family $7,000. Dental cancelled, Extended Care cancelled, Vision Cancelled (except for one eye exam per family member under plan, subject to normal cost sharing. GM will mail out the Health Information Packets the end of October, please pay attention to the Health Savings Account information. Jim had sheets available up front with the highlights for those interested. Enrollment is October 28th to November 18th. People over 65 talked about changes to their health insurance plans, such as some plans being eliminated and others raising their premiums. If you wish to discuss your insurance needs with Extend Health their web site is www.extendhealth.com/gm or call 1-866-682-4832. Darlene Dail sent us information about job opportunities for the 2010 Census Taking, Baltimore Data Capture Center is hiring people for the census. Brochures were available up front for those interested. You can check it out at www.JobsThatCount.org. Jack Summers sent us information from the Better Business Bureau about Census Taker scams: Make sure they have proper ID: badge, hand held device, canvas bag & confidentially notice. They will not ask for SS#, bank account information or personal information. At this time they are just verifying addresses .Do not invite them into your home. Rick Marine forwarded us information about free seasonal flu shots at CCBC-Essex on Sunday October 25th at l0:00AM.,brochure up front for those interested.
