HISTORIAN: SKIP SHIFLETT
WAYS AND MEANS: CLARA HUNT
Clara thanked everyone who helped with the bull roast selling tickets and working the wheels. Especially Betty Bonner, Angela Thomas, and Jack & Sheila Gill. Everyone applauded them for the fantastic job they did. The bull roast was a success this year. A lot a people attended and we didn’t loose any money. Hopefully we can do it again next year. Clara is going to try and get the same band next year. The Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday, December 4th, cost of ticket undecided. Jim mentioned the band was late arriving due to a massive traffic jam on I95. Jim also mentioned that he was astonished at the amount of people that helped at the bull roast. So many people helped with the wheels. Tom and George and Betty and Angie did a great job, and so did Jack and Sheila with the 50/50. Clara, of course, did an outstanding job. THANK YOU!!

The suggestion was brought up that next year we should change the 50/50 drawing to have three winners instead of just one, breaking the amounts given out to approximately 60% for the first place winner, 30% to the second place winner and 10% to the third place winner. The drawing would still be considered a 50/50 since we would still be giving away 50% of the proceeds. After a short discussion on this matter it was decided that Clara would handle changing our next 50/50 to have three payouts instead of just one. Also there was a copy of Ted Canipe’s obituary from the East County times available for viewing. Mark Bowyer brought in a list of UAW death notices, if interested come up and read.
