Clara reminded everyone that the Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Rosedale Gardens.

After discussions with various members & officers, Clara announced that money for next year’s 50-50 raffle winner will be distributed to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winning ticket holders, not just to one winner. 50 percent of the money taken in will go to our club and the other 50 percent of the money will be awarded as follows: 70% of it to 1st drawn ticket, 15 % to 2nd drawn ticket and 10% to 3rd drawn ticket.

 

Clara advised us that we need to wait a little longer before deciding on a price for the crab feast this year, scheduled for September.

Announced by Bernie Vetter. Get-well cards were mailed to Al Vojik, Thelma Brown and Angelo Onorato.   The club extended get-well wishes to Marge Stock.

 

Jack Summers informed members that Walt Gregonis has moved to Florida.  Walt has been ill lately and Jack provided an address for Walt if anyone would like to send him a card or letter: Walt Gregonis, 5158 Fenwood Lane, Orlando, FL 32814.

Jim Smedley announced that he has appointed Ed Watts to replace Jim Hines as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Also, Al Vojik will replace Ed Watts as Trustee.  Jim thanked Ed and Al for accepting their appointments.

GOOD OF THE CLUB:

 

The new GM Retirees Socrates Website is now online. The website can be accessed through www.gmretiree.com. If you register as a member of the site you can then click on the “Clubs” link and see information about other GM Retiree Clubs.

 

Jim is still confirming officers for the next two year term. If anyone is interested in running for an officer’s position or being a committee member, please contact Jim at (410) 933-8684.

 

Jim reminded members that our meeting is on the 4th Thursday of the month, not the last Thursday of the month. Some months have 5 Thursdays. Some members admitted that they had the meeting dates confused last month.

Today’s lunch is pizza.
