Christmas Party ticket sales are slow, we lost money on the party last year and do not want the same thing to happen this year. Date is Saturday December 4th, time: 1:00 to 5:00, cost is $35.00 includes open bar and buffet. The band is Impulse. We will be selling tickets at the door! We need donations to be used for the door prizes.
Clara brought the topic of Secondary Health insurance up for discussion. She handed out the name cards of the person who helped her decide on coverage. There was a discussion of several plans. Prescription drug plans such as Walmart, Medco and AARP were also talked about. We were informed that we can still contact Extend Health and get information from them. This is enrollment time, so please check your coverage and get the best insurance for your needs.

GOOD OF THE CLUB:
Jim reminded everyone there is no club meeting in December.
On the status of the clubs relationship account(CD) We have made two trips to the bank to bring this account up-to-date and have the deceased members names removed and replaced with new names. We are obtaining the necessary paperwork and are proceeding to get everything corrected.
GM is having a meeting today at 2:30 in Michigan with some retiree club presidents from the Michigan area. Jim will be able to listen in on the meeting and will pass on any information that comes out of the meeting.
The club membership was asked to consider eliminating putting death notices in the sun paper, which costs approximately $30.00 or the donation of $50.00 to charity or both. Since it was viewed that putting the notice in the paper was more of a memorial to the person from the club a motion was made to keep putting the notices in the paper and eliminate the $50.00 donation. The motion was approved.
We need volunteers to fill club positions and committees. We need a Trustee to replace Al Vojik. We need someone to replace Marge Stock who handles the Sunshine Committee. We also need someone to take over the selling of raffle tickets for our Bull Roast starting in 2012. We would like to have that person in place soon so they can learn from Jack and Sheila how to handle the raffle.
In January we would like to get a by-law committee together to go over the Club By-Laws and bring them up-to-date. If you would like to be on the committee please contact Jim. Dues for out of state members will be brought up at the by-laws meeting and recommendations will be made.
If anyone has any complaints about the way club decisions are made please lets talk about this at the meeting or call me at home so we can resolve the issue.
There is NO December Club Meeting, the next regular meeting will be January 27,2011-Sandwiches for lunch.
