MINUTES OF November 17,2011MEETING WERE APPROVED.

Rick Marine and Clara Hunt were named to be the nominating committee chairpersons to go thru the process of nominating officers for next years term. Nominees for the next term will be announced at the March meeting. If only one person is running for a particular office, the secretary will cast a vote and such person will be elected. If more than one person runs, the March minutes will include a mailed ballot or electronic ballot. At the May meeting a count of all ballots submitted beforehand and at the May meeting will be counted to determine the winning candidate. Officers for the next two years take over June l, 2012.

Next years Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012. It was moved back to a Sunday in hopes of improving the attendance. We will still have open bar.
The Bull & Oyster Roast tickets are here. It will be held at Rosedale Gardens on Sunday, April l5,2012. Food from l-6pm., Beer & Set-ups. Music by On The Edge. Cost is $35.00per person. This is our fund raiser so please do your best to have a sellout.
The 50/50 Raffle tickets are also available now.

John Eltringham should be going home this week. He is doing much better since his stay at Riverview rehab.
Pat Hines is home from the hospital. After her hip surgery she developed pneumonia and a blood clot. She is doing much better and says to say hello to everyone.
Betty Nagel is still having trouble with her leg and is still going to therapy.
Barbara Jacobs broke her wrist before Thanksgiving and is in a cast and doing therapy.
Please call Marge if you know of anyone sick or deceased so she can send a card from the club.

Rick Marine and Clara Hunt are the nominating committee. They will be talking with our present officers asking whether or not they would be willing to stay in their existing position for two more years or if they would like to take a different position. If you are not a current officer and would like to take over a position, please let Clara or Rick know so you can be nominated for that position. The nominating committee will announce the nominees at the March meeting.
GOOD OF THE CLUB:
Jim welcomed new & infrequent members.
News articles have been circulating about GM buying out Retirement Pensions. The article said GM has nearly $40billion on the books that they are considering using to buy out the pensions, although they were unclear as whether it would be for hourly, salaried employees or both. Printouts are available on the front table.
Jerry Finley brought in discount coupons to Marli's Dockside Grill & Crabhouse. They are available on the front table. Thank you Jerry!!!
