As of today, we have not heard if anyone from GM White Marsh is planning to attend the 40th year Salaried Retirees Club celebration.

Clara has the tickets for the anniversary celebration. As of the meeting we have 89 people planning to attend. The affair will be open seating.

GM Posts Best June Sales Since 2007
GM delivered 267,461 vehicles in the U.S. in June. Total sales were up 1% compared to last year. Retail sales were up 1% and fleet sales up 2%. GM's total sales were up 9%.
Buick had its best June since 2006. Deliveries were up 18%, driven by an 82% increase in Encore deliveries, 33% increase for LaCrosse, 26% for Regal and 5% for Enclave.
GMC also had its best June since 2006. Deliveries up 11% driven by demand for the Yukon, up 120%, as well as the Yukon XL, up 70%; the Terrain, up 8%; the Savana, up 129%.
Deliveries of the Chevrolet Spark and Sonic were up 19% and 36% respectively.
Deliveries of the Chevrolet Tahoe we up 93% and the Suburban were up 73%. Traverse up 3% and Silverado up 1%.
Cadillac sales up, with Escalade up 57% and SRX up 19%. It was Cadillac's best June since 2008, and 57% of customers didn't trade in a Cadillac.
GM's average transaction prices (ATPs) were in line with April & May, with higher pickup, SUV & Cadillac ATPs offsetting declines among cars and crossovers, according to mid-month J.D. Power PIN estimates.
For the second quarter, ATPs were up about $800 per unit versus the first quarter. Calendar year to date, ATPs are up about $2,700 compared with a year ago.
Incentive spending as a percentage of ATP was 10.9%, up 0.2 points from a year ago, according to J.D. Power PIN estimates. the industry average for June was 9.7%, also up 0.2 points from a year ago.
GM Delivered 2.5 Million Vehicles Globally in Q2
General Motors Co. (NYSE:GM) sold 2,505,889 vehicles around the world in the second quarter of 2014, with year-over-year sales in the U.S. and China up 7% and 8% respectively. Total sales were up one-half percent in the second quarter. in the first half, GM sold 4,921,928 vehicles up 1.4%.
Another GM Recall
On Wednesday, GM announced it was recalling 718,000 cars and trucks for a variety of different problems. They ranged from a broken screw that could cause front seats to move up and down freely to problems with the power steering to problems with some welds. GM has recalled nearly 30 million vehicles since the start of the year.
